Hello! This is my story.
I have been working in public school mental health for the past few years, helping to ensure that children and families within the NYC public school system receive mental health services, psychoeducation, and support. I also have years of experience working as a counselor within a Supportive Housing Program, which served formerly homeless LGBTQ youth/young adults with mental health needs.
Additionally, I have previous experience as a School Crisis Counselor under the Project Hope Grant, providing counseling services to NYC school communities impacted by Superstorm Sandy. My experience also includes providing Intensive In-Home Counseling to children/families in the foster care system. I have spent the entirety of my career in the mental health field dedicating myself to serving children, youth/young adults, families, and people in Black/Brown communities.
