Let's cultivate caring communities that explore identity and language.

Hello! This is my story.

Dr. Anderson Smith received his Ph.D. in English education from Columbia University. He has taught creative writing in both medium and maximum-security prisons in New York. He is also the Chief Impact Officer for Bookclubz and serves on the Board of Directors for the Justice Arts Coalition. Anderson supports book clubs from multiple disciplines with the spirit of cultivating caring communities that explore identity and language.

Anderson has a strong commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusion while supporting ways to question and change inequitable society norms. His research interests align with self-reflection and resilience that emerge through active participation in a book club community.
